AIX / Mission
The barrier was neverthe technology.
Frontier models are a browser tab away. What is still unevenly distributed is everything around them: mentorship, a room of people building, permission to try something ambitious and have it not work.

AIXelerate Challenge exists to break down the barriers to advanced computer science and technology education. We equip high school students from varied backgrounds with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to build projects that address problems they actually care about.
We think the strongest learning happens under real constraints: users, deadlines, ethics, communication, and a team that has to agree. A day with those pressures teaches more than a semester without them.
And we work to make our programs as affordable as possible, so more students get to find that out.
Four things we will not trade away.
- Access comes first
- We are raising funds to make the experience as affordable as possible, so cost is less of a barrier to taking part.
- No prerequisite
- We run tracks for students who have never written a line of code alongside students who have shipped apps.
- Real reviewers
- Working engineers, researchers, and founders review your project the way they would review a colleague’s.
- Ethics in the rubric
- Not a workshop bolted on the side. It is a scored category, and it can lose you the round.
